Our mission is to promote the well being of anyone over the age of 55 to help make later life a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.

Age Concern Forest of Dean is committed to maintaining and strengthening the existing services being provided by us and to reacting innovatively to the inevitable growth in demand for support for our ageing population through expansion of local services created by us or in partnership with statutory bodies and other voluntary community agencies.

As a charitable  organisation heavily dependent upon grants, donations and volunteers which do not come easily, we are dedicated to the efficient use of resources both internally and across the whole of the sector.

We recognise that we form a part of an infrastructure involving many other groups which can lead to fragmentation and possible duplication of services which our funders will not tolerate.

As part of our established policy, we actively participate in forums and continual networking with a view to working towards the streamlining of services and an increased awareness in the minds of service providers and users alike of their availability.
